"Can I play the piano?" he asked. "Sure, of course" the host responded. There was no one there. He just wanted to let his feelings out. The host left, he was by himself. He was rusty at first, a few bad notes, but he opened up. He started playing with more heart than he ever had been able to. He was playing his heart out. For one second he looked outside, and he saw that it started snowing, peacefully. In that moment, his tears started falling down on the piano. He couldn't hold it. He kept playing and crying. He couldn't stop doing either of those things, it felt good to release everything.
"That was really amazing" said the host, who was hidden in the back the whole half hour. He was silent for one second, he didn't know he was being listened to. "Thank you" is all he could say. Thankfully his tears had dried out at that point.
He finally opened up to his friend. He rarely ever shares, he keeps everything to himself, but he felt like he needed to share today. His friend listened, he talked about his fears and how he realized, that these fears have nothing to do with this situation. It's problems that he has dealt with all his life, and this time is no different. It's serious, it's something he needs to work out within himself. He just needs to take a few deep breaths, get his blood going again, and be able to think healthy again. He's hopeful, that he's on a better path. It's something deep within, that he'll resolve. For one moment, he feels better, that things will work out.
He knows he needs to step up. No one can do this but him. Only he is responsible for his life.
