A little bit selfish

He's more in love than he can describe. Nothing matters when she's not around. Nothing matters when they aren't in good terms. Nothing matters when she's sad. Worse of everything, nothing matters when she doesn't believe in his love. It hurts him more than any of the above, when she doubts if he loves her enough. The truth is, he loves her more now than he ever did. He brain is just working overtime trying to make everything work.

She doesn't fully understand him. She tries to protect him, maybe protect herself, as well. He asks for a lot, more than she can give right now. Maybe he's being inconsiderate. Maybe he's not thinking about what she needs right because he's overwhelmed. Maybe he needs to put his own anxieties away and just focus on the next thing. It's his nature, just like hers, he wants to protect her too. She's too important, too precious. He feels that if he doesn't do this right, she'll end up leaving him. On the other hand, he feels that if he loses this, he'll lose the love of his life forever. She's his treasure, the only one he's ever found.

They are so busy protecting each other, they aren't realizing that it might cost them their love. Maybe being a little bit selfish is what they need. It's not in their nature though, they care too much about their loved one, it's just too natural to try to protect them, it's an instinct.

What. Can. He. Do. She doesn't want to hear his love anymore. A knife to the heart. He knows she's hurting. He wishes he could hug her all night and make it all be ok. He'd stay up all night just for that, every night if needed. It's never been harder to be strong & united -- but more necessary than ever. Don't give up.
